Gentlemen's Apartment

The Empire style of the early 1800’s promoted a design movement in architecture, furniture and decorative arts. This roombox reflects the Grecian and Roman symbols of Imperial Grandeur and ornamentation which were prevalent during this period. The somber coloring reflects a man’s taste. Stucco decoration and painted classical motifs enrich the walls, while the ceiling is plain. Soft lighting accents the interior. Provision is made for adding your own hanging chandelier. The approximate size is 14” wide, 14” high and 12” deep.

The Enchante

A fabulous French Shop Front with living quarters on top and an archway on one side. This charming New Orleans street scene captures the hidden courtyard behind massive doors next door to a two-story shop. The downstairs portion of the shop features a non-working door and two large show windows. The tiny upstairs can be used as a workroom and is viewed through 2 non working windows. Narrow box, so it doesn't take up much room. This project measures 16 ½" high x 22" wide x 7 ¾" deep project is perfect for a wall hanging.

Flourish & Blotts

Florish and Blotts - the book store from Harry Potter is a two story building with a fanciful Tudor exterior and copper roof.  Inside on the lower floor is the main area for display and sales. Upstairs is more display room. The project does not have to be done as Florish and Blotts but can be used for just about anything, such as a Pub, Toy Store, Antique Shop or what ever you can think of.

All of the supplies and tools will be provided in the class. The only thing you will need is the furniture and interior lights. The wiring for the lighting will be installed and we will make the glowing embers for the fireplace.

The Boscobell

Inspired by the beautiful Boscobel Estate, this elegant room box is fronted by a façade with a pediment and columns. The eye is then led past a short entryway through a decorative archway into a cozy room where a fireplace is bracketed by two doorways, one leading off into a suggestion of another room. The left side of the room has gracefully arched windows overlooking the Hudson. Marble floor. The ceiling includes both a center medallion and decorative crown molding. 12 volt general illumination lighting is included, and you will be invited to purchase optional sconces and a chandelier. This project measures 12"high x 13" wide x 15" deep.

The Grand Hotel

Hotel Lobby in the style of the Brill Building in Manhatten, New York. Penthouse on the top floor, the Lobby is on the bottom. Includes a faux elevator. Building is two stories tall. Measurements and photo will be available soon!
